Blind Mississippi MorrisKing Biscuit Blues Festival | Helena, Arkansas | 2011
Struggles, frustrations, heartbreaks, from a very early age... Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Morris Cummings is the very embodiment of the Delta bluesman. “My life has been hard since I was born. Because I was blind, I was taken from my family and put in an institution when I was four.” He would return home rarely, riding alone on a bus. He still sings his blues with his harmonica on Beale Street, Memphis, where he resides and on festivals.
